Terms of Use for Chato

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Chato, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Chato is an AI companion chat application that allows users to create and interact with AI characters, participate in group chats, and generate interactive stories using AI technology.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free Plan: Limited to 1 AI friend and 10 chat messages per day.
• Pro Plan: Unlimited AI friends, 300 chat messages per day, 3 story episodes per day.
• Pro+ Plan: Unlimited AI friends, 600 chat messages per day, 10 story episodes per day.

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates any laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with the app
• Share subscription access with others

5. AI-Generated Content

Chato uses AI technology to generate responses. AI-generated content is for entertainment purposes only and should not be taken as professional advice. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

6. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and features are owned by us. You retain ownership of AI friend characters you create.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the AI will always produce appropriate responses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the app for violations of these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable laws.
